Chinese New Year Open House 19 Feb 2015 hosted by ICW President

Close to 200 members and supporters of Ipoh City Watch, friends and neighbors attended the Chinese New Year hosted by the President of ICW at his residence in Desa Tambun Indah on 19 Feb 2015.

It was a sort of gathering and fellowship for ICW especially for Watchaaers who only "met' via Whatsapp but have not met face-to-face. Guest of honor was YB Dato Samsudin Bin Abu Hassan who was also the Perak State Exco for Consumer Affairs, Human Resources and Civil Society. Also presence was Clr Dato Shamsuddin Bun Ghaffar,

It was a Chinese New celebration in the spirit of muhibbah with all races coming together. ICW is race blind watching over 750,000 rate payers to ensure that Ipoh becomes the most livable city in Malaysia.  

 

Ipoh City Watch officially launched today 23 Jan 2015

This afternoon 23 Jan 2015 at 3pm, a group of 70 concerned citizens of Ipoh including from the media attended a historic launching of Ipoh City Watch (ICW), an NGO that is concerned about the well-being of Ipohites, held at Kinta Riverfront Hotel in Ipoh. 

The event was graced by YB Dato Samsudin Abu Hassan, the Perak Exco for Consumers Affairs, Human Resources, Civil Society and NGO. I delivered my maiden speech as the President of ICW. 

I touched on our vision that is "to make Ipoh the most livable city in Malaysia. We want to build bridges with the Ipoh City Council and its councilors to ensure we truly represent the voices of the 750,000 people of Ipoh. 

Presence during the Launching Ceremony include Tan Sri Chang Ko Youn, Dato See Tean Seng, Dato Roshidi Hashim, former mayor of Ipoh City Council and now a life member of ICW. 

Others include Dr. Elangovan Subbiah, Dr. Raj Paramjothy, Dr. Mahinder, Dr Kamaruddin Yaakob, YB Howard Lee, YB Wong Kah Woh, Veeran Perak Micyouthchief, Sdra Azhari Hj Abu and other ICW supporters.

ICW Informal Get-Together on 1st May

Dear members and former members of ICW,

For the first time, ICW will be organizing an informal get-together for its past and present members for the purpose of getting to know each other, finding out who is who and renewing ties in ICW. This get-together will be held on 1st May 2010 at 8.00 pm at the Old Andersonians’ Clubhouse. The cost is RM30.00 per person.

If you would like to come to the get-together, kindly fill-up the attached invitation form. You may post the form back to ICW at the postal address found on the bottom of the form together with a cheque or postal order made out to "Ipoh City Watch" or contact one of the persons listed on the form.
