CONGRATULATIONS to the new committee. Thanks to Richard Ng for posting the update on the elections

However there are issues within the committee that needs to be addressed.

The call for the AGM and any resolutions to be passed was severely flawed. There is a time frame within which this should have been done. Most members never received the notice till the last few days! I am one of them who received it 3 days prior to the AGM by e-mail. Therefore any member seeking to be elected to the committee and/or posting any resolutions was denied the right.

Even more troubling and shocking was the letter head that states the existence of 'illegal' committee members in the past committee and continues to be published in this blog.

In the event that any committee member/s who have resigned, there needs to be a due process by which a new committee can be formed! None of the members of ICW have been informed of such developments. There was no EGM to this effect. Was the R.O.S notified and approval seeked!

No was the answer by some of the committee members whom I had called up.

The least that could have been done was to postpone the AGM and the matters at hand be sorted out, but the previous committee decided to sweep the matter under the carpet and carry on with what they deemed right. Tidak apa; Malaysia Boleh was the attitude.

The issue here is an organisation that was formed to 'police' the rights of the Ipoh residents has decided to run it like a household entity or school society.

Sadly the very people who question the current constitutional upheaval in Perak have not got their act in order. Where is the integrity, transparency and leadership qualities.

I am not a disgruntled former committee member, but have always strived in making every effort to get ICW to greater heights.

Any organisation must be run ithin the said norms. I am not a legal eagle, but I hope something is done to address the current state of affairs and not let things as it is. It is a serious matter and a breach of the Societies Act.

Thank you Dr. Loganathan for your feedback. I hope someone among the committee members can enlighten us on what is happening?

Also sorry for the earlier video clips on the Incoming President inaugural speech which I have wrongly posted.
