While ICW will remain apolitical, it will however work with other government agencies, NGOs, Councillors, interested individuals, state assembly men as well as political parties to ensure that Ipoh will become the most liveable city in Malaysia.
ICW will be guided by its Vision and Mission statements as follows:
VISION STATEMENT
To make Ipoh the most liveable city in Malaysia
MISSION STATEMENT
ICW shall act as the eyes, ears
and mouths of Ipohites in raising issues
that affect and threaten their clean, safe and healthy environment.
ICW will help protect the rights of Ipohites as rate payers;
* the rights to a clean, safe, and helathy environment
* the rights to be heard
* the rights to all amenities as provided in the Local Government Act 1976.
This is done as follows:

monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of the services provided in all the 23 zones managed by Ipoh City Council (MBI)
§ Creating awareness to
all Ipohites as rate payers on
their rights to basic services and amenities
§ Engaging with Elected
Representatives, MBI and Local Councillors on a regular basis
§ Raising issues
affecting Ipohites
§ Organising forums and
participating in campaign that has impact on the well being of Ipohites
§ Highlighting any
inefficiency or discrepancies in the services rendered by MBI
§ Working with any
